Eugene Tang, AICP

Senior Associate

Eugene Tang has over 17 years of experience in the transportation engineering and planning fields and has worked on a variety of public and private sector projects throughout Southern California and Hawaii.

Eugene has prepared a multitude of parking and traffic impact studies, as well as conducting regional transportation planning, site design, and review of environmental documentation. He is currently conducting transportation studies for Westfield at The Village at Westfield Topanga, Topanga, Valencia Town Center, and MainPlace centers. Eugene is also currently conducting analyses for Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and the AMPAS Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, as well as several traffic and parking studies in downtown Los Angeles and the City of Santa Monica.

Eugene recently completed a parking study of the San Pedro Waterfront for the Port of Los Angeles and a citywide parking demand study for the City of Santa Monica. Other recently completed studies include traffic and parking analyses for Equinox and SoulCycle health clubs in Los Angeles and for shopping centers in Lakewood, Manhattan Beach, and Santa Monica, as well as the mixed-use ROW DTLA in Los Angeles. His other recent work includes parking studies for the cities of Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, and Los Angeles. He has prepared regional transportation planning work for the Alameda Street Corridor Feasibility Study and the Crenshaw Transit Corridor project, and transportation studies for development projects in the Hollywood, Sun Valley, and Warner Center communities of the City of Los Angeles, as well as in Agoura Hills, Anaheim, Beverly Hills, Burbank, El Segundo, Long Beach, Montclair, Oxnard, Pomona, Rialto, San Diego, San Pedro, Santa Clarita, Santa Paula, Torrance, and West Hollywood.

Eugene was extensively involved in several public sector projects in the state of Hawaii, including the 2030 Oahu Regional Transportation Plan, the Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor project, the Kahului Harbor 2025 Master Plan, and the Hawaii Statewide Large-Capacity Inter-Island Ferry project.

Eugene is a certified professional with the American Institute of Certified Planners and a member of the American Planning Association.
